| Sophos experts to speak at NHS Connecting for Health event | |

IT security and data protection firm Sophos will be speaking at an NHS event organised by NHS Connecting for Health, a division of the NHS focused on providing IT systems and services to the UK healthcare sector. The event, ‘How to keep electronic patient records secure’ is being held at the University of London on Wednesday 11th November 2009. Sophos will be discussing computer security best practices for NHS Trusts in London, along with advising delegates how to make the most of their current IT investments in order to prevent malware outbreaks. "Healthcare organisations are facing constricting budgets but simultaneously have to ensure that they’re meeting the increasing number of compliance guidelines as well as protect their systems against the latest threats," said Chris Pace, security specialist at Sophos. "The purpose of this event is to help IT teams understand the changing nature of the threat landscape and how to keep patient data safe. We will demonstrate how organisations can make the most of the solutions already in place, in order to tackle complex challenges without spending more money." |
