Sophos to support deployments of Citrix Receiver in Windows environments
Citrix Ready

May 12, 2010 – IT security and data protection firm Sophos today announced that Sophos Endpoint Security and Control has been verified as Citrix Ready®. The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix. Sophos completed a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with Citrix Receiver™, confirming joint solution compatibility.

According to a survey conducted by Forrester Research last fall, enterprises consider consumerization the top IT risk among emerging trends and technologies*. Sophos CEO Steve Munford recently spoke with Forbes on this trend as the company is developing new, innovative capabilities within its security and data protection offerings to support companies as they adopt new models of working with IT.

The Citrix Ready program makes it easy for customers to identify complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix environments. Customers can be confident that Sophos Endpoint Security and Control has successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix, and can be trusted to work effectively with Citrix Receiver on Windows operating system.

Sophos Endpoint Security and Control offers a single solution for anti-virus and anti-spyware protection, client firewall, DLP, application control and NAC, giving you the best preventive endpoint and data protection. A single license means you can protect all users and computers across Windows, Mac, Linux, UNIX and other non-Windows platforms. Sophos has also extended its platform support to include virtualization solutions like Citrix Receiver.

"We are pleased to be a member of the Citrix Ready program, and to be a trusted security vendor to Citrix customers," said Rainer Gawlick, chief marketing officer at Sophos. "Our objective is to optimize the success of Citrix virtualization deployments by providing best-in-class protection and support, and this compatibility verification is an excellent first step."
